Originally built in 1872, this substantial Victorian house within the Hampstead Heath Conservation Area underwent an extensive restoration and extension programme. The works were carefully designed to create a contemporary six-bedroom family home while preserving the character and craftsmanship that define the building’s history.
To provide additional guest accommodation and entertaining space, a new pavilion, gatehouse and cottage were constructed. The restoration of key historic features, including the Dutch-gabled façade, tower castellations and heraldic beasts, formed a central part of the scheme. External ponds were also reinstated, returning these important landscape features to their original grandeur.
