The Watford Refresh project comprised extensive phased refurbishment of the Intu Watford Shopping Centre and had two key deliverables. Firstly, to replace and upgrade of the M&E systems and associated infrastructure within back and front-of-house areas to provide modern life-safety, CCTV and building management systems. Secondly, to improve architectural finishes and refresh works to the malls, toilets and car park lobby areas. This included works to the floors, walls, ceilings, balustrading, lighting, escalators and entrances.
As the shopping centre remained occupied throughout the project, all works in the front-of-house mall were carried out outside of trading hours.
