Looking back on our regeneration of @bafta ’s iconic
@bafta195 Piccadilly headquarters, a project that celebrated both heritage and innovation at the heart of British film and television.

One of the most recognisable symbols within the space is the iconic BAFTA “face”. Designed in 1955 by American sculptor Mitzi Cunliffe, the stylised theatrical mask blends the worlds of comedy and tragedy with television technology through its electronic screen motif. The bronze design has represented BAFTA’s highest honour for more than 60 years.
