As we celebrate 20 years of Knight Harwood, we are revisiting some of the landmark projects that have defined our journey. Among them is our work with @bonhams1793, the world-renowned auctioneers, where we delivered a striking new London headquarters on New Bond Street.

This was a complex and ambitious project. It required the demolition of an existing structure while sensitively retaining the historic façades along New Bond Street and Blenheim Street. Behind them, we constructed a bold new six-storey building designed to provide state-of-the-art auction facilities for the 21st century.

Every element was designed to elevate both function and experience:

  • Double-height salerooms with a skybox maximised viewing and created a dynamic auction environment.
  • Preview galleries and daylit workspaces provided Bonhams’ specialists and clients with inspiring, functional spaces.
  • Four scenic glass lifts and a mix of reconstituted stone, brickwork, curtain walling, and rainscreen cladding gave the building its modern architectural identity.
  • A café and welcoming public areas ensured a complete visitor experience.

The result was a landmark new home for Bonhams: a building that both respects its historic setting and delivers world-class facilities for a global institution.
