Last month marked a key milestone on St George’s Street our project with Old Park Lane Management, with the successful erection of our tower crane, a major step forward as works continue to progress well on site.
Positioned on a steel cruciform base spanning the footpath, the crane has been carefully designed to operate efficiently within the constraints of the site while maintaining safe pedestrian access below. With a lifting capacity of up to four tonnes, it will play a crucial role in the next phases of construction.
Over the coming weeks, the crane will support a range of activities, including the removal of steel from the roof, dismantling of the eighth-storey staircase, and the lifting of new structural elements into place. This includes new steelwork, as well as timber beams and CLT panels, which will form key components of the building’s superstructure.
